Marissa Jane | CEO & Principle Coach

“A significant part of my work teaches people how to ‘optimise and shape’ their human biology and psychology towards balance, fulfilment and having agency in life. These are fundamental pillars to health, wellbeing and performance.”

Marissa is passionate about helping people truly understand and get the best from themselves.

The Melbourne-born wellbeing and performance advocate has worked with New Zealand and Australian Olympic teams across both Summer and Winter Olympic campaigns. She holds a post graduate academic qualifications in sport science including a Masters Degree in Sport & Exercise, certificates in trauma informed coaching, mental health first aid, mindfulness and breathwork practices, and is currently completing her Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Sciences at Deakin University.

For the last decade, Marissa has been leveraging her unique skill set to help improve her clients wellbeing, quality of life and performance through her integrative coaching business.

“I incorporate a ‘whole-human’ approach to coaching which is centred around reconnecting to, and integrating all parts of the self, whilst creating balance across key roles and life pursuits. All of this is driven by the individuals strengths and values, to enhance their wellbeing and improve their performance. ”

We integrate bottom-up interventions such as nervous system training to build distress tolerance and adaptability, emotional regulation techniques to build resilience, plus mindfulness, movement and breathwork practices to forge new habits..

Marissa’s dynamic offering also integrates top-down cognitive coaching practices drawing from best practice psychological and neuroscience techniques, benefiting from gains in self-awareness, decision making, problem solving, confidence and self-esteem.

Integrative Coaching

The “why” behind Integrative Wellbeing and Performance Coaching is embedded in helping people reconnect with and integrate all aspects of their authentic selves to improve overall wellbeing and optimise performance. Integrating both the physiological and psychological aspects of human behaviour, our person-centred approach is also instilled with the philosophy of person-centred therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, that every individual is has a tendency to develop towards their full and unique potential.

Integrative coaching helps leaders, athletes and individuals create balance across important aspects of their lives, and realise fulfilment through potential and values driven wellbeing and performance strategies.

We draw upon evidence based teachings from cognitive behavioural sciences, developmental & evolutionary psychology, neuroscience and physiology, as well as over a decade working with and building high performing individuals and teams in elite and Olympic Sport.

“We know that a healthy, well and balanced individual performs at their best”

Our clients cultivate the skills and resources to expand their self-awareness, build mental and emotional fitness, develop a resilient and well mind & body, and modify behaviours to support their performance goals.

“Our mind and body are one integrated system.

When struggling physically, it’ll effect us mentally, and if the mind isn’t resilient, the body will suffer.”

Our individual coaching programs are trauma informed, bespoke in nature, and centre around fundamental pillars of wellbeing and performance utilised in sport, military, corporate and the creative arts.

We begin with a thorough assessment of our clients lifestyle, timeline and goals, and use these results to develop a client-led personalised program towards their wellbeing needs and performance pursuits.

Our work involves integrating bottom-up strategies (working with the body, brain & nervous system and emotional centers) with top-down techniques (cognition and talk based modalities, motivational questioning and coaching strategies) to access the neuroplastic potential of the brain to support habit adaptation and behavioural modification.
